How will Honda dealers address the rust issue with the CR-V?

There are several methods dealers will treat this rust problem.

If the trailing arm bolt is detachable, this will be the deciding factor after examination.

Dealers will install a support brace if it is, per Automotive News.

The dealer may then elect to perform further repairs.

The dealer is permitted to repurchase the CR-V if there is too much rust present,

the bolt cannot be withdrawn, or the support brace still is unable to hold the trailing arm.

In the U.S., Honda sold more than a million CR-Vs between 2007 and 2011.

Therefore, it will probably be resolved before 2023 comes to an end.
