Massive Rusting Frame Recall on 550,000+ Honda CR-Vs

A recall for over 564,000 CR-V crossovers has recently been announced by American Honda Motor Co.

Most of the CR-Vs included in this recall are from states where de-icing of roadways is practised.

Corrosion of the frame is being caused by this deicing. Deicing chemicals, dirt,

and debris buildup damages CR-V frames, causing rear trailing arms to come off of vehicles.

Outside of states in the salt belt, reports of frame corrosion are common.

The CR-Vs in question are mostly from Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Connecticut.
